Objective
The Factory Act, 1948 – Section 40-B: Regulation 93 of the Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulations, 1990; Section 38 of the Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) Act, 1996 and Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measure Act, 2006 & Rules, 2009 prescribe the appointment of Safety Officers. The task of the Safety Officer is to advise and assist the management in the fulfillment of its obligations concerning prevention of occupational diseases and accident, maintenance of safe working environment. Under the Law, a person should essentially possess a Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by the Government to be employment as a Safety Officer in addition to other prescribed qualification and experience.
Courses Offered
Thane Belapur Industries Association (TBIA), Navi Mumbai since 1986, conducts Advanced Diploma Course in Industrial for One year (Full Time), which is similar to CLI & RLI and all Students are employed in India and Overseas as well. Started other courses as detailed in this Brochure. Our Institute has been recognized by Directorate of Technical Education DTE, Govt. of Maharashtra & Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) to conduct the Courses.
Mode of Teaching
The medium of instruction is English. The Courses provide comprehensive education and training as per the MSBTE’s Designed & Approved Curriculum.
Faculty
The Institute has Eminent Faculties who has vast experience and knowledge in the concerned fields and subjects. Case Studies are dealt with the Audio Visual Aids . Every student is required to carry out Project Work, Term Work, Laboratory Work and Industrial Visits during the Course. The Contact Hour Programme is mandatory. Course Materials with references are provided by Our Institute.

Examination
The Examination is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The successful Candidates are awarded with the Diploma by the MSBTE Govt. of Maharashtra.
